Tainted Water in Massachusetts Town
26 04 2007More than 55 people were taken to the hospital after showering and consuming tainted water. Apparently, sodium hydroxide, a chemical approved to prevent pipe corrosion and limit water acidity accidentally seeped in concentrated form into the water treatment plant. Normally, this chemical is supposed to be highly diluted. Investigations are under way to find how this chemical got into the water supply.
