31 10 2007What is Atopic Dermatitis? Atopic Dermatitis is a reoccurring skin condition. A person with Atopic Dermatitis develops dry, red and very itchy skin: From an abnormal reaction to irritants, environmental allergens and certain foods.
Usually, this condition develops in childhood, in conjunction with other Atopic diseases like Asthma and Hay Fever.
The cause is unknown. It is believed that a combination of genetic and environmental factors may be the culprits.
