Fruit Yogurt May Help Manage Type 2 Diabetes
27 04 2007According to University of Massachusetts Amherst researchers, yogurt enhanced with fruit or made from soy may play an integral role in the management of Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. “What one eats should be part of an overall approach to therapy,” says Kalidas Shetty, lead researcher of the study.

Tainted Water in Massachusetts Town
26 04 2007More than 55 people were taken to the hospital after showering and consuming tainted water. Apparently, sodium hydroxide, a chemical approved to prevent pipe corrosion and limit water acidity accidentally seeped in concentrated form into the water treatment plant. Normally, this chemical is supposed to be highly diluted. Investigations are under way to find how this chemical got into the water supply.

Link found between artificial sweetener and cancer
18 04 2007Italian scientists have found a link between aspertame and cancer in rodents. Although some scientists contend that there is no risk to humans, the report does deserve much consideration and review. The link to it is below. Why would we voluntarily put something into our bodies that has been shown to cause cancer in rodents? There are too many people who are ignoring the hazards of artificial sweeteners. Water detected on distant planet
12 04 2007Water has been detected for the first time in the atmosphere of a planet outside our Solar System.
The planet, known as HD 209458b, is a Jupiter-like gas giant located 150 light-years from Earth in the constellation Pegasus.
